National Recovery Month (Recovery Month), which started in 1989, is a national observance held every September to promote new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, support the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and honor the dedication of the service providers and community leaders who make recovery in all its forms possible.

Since 2015, PEER Wellness Center has joined our community partners in celebrating recovery by hosting a Recovery Rally in observance of National Recovery Month.

Who stood by you through your darkest
moments, was there for you and continues to;
~empower you when you don't feel strong,
~support you through the good and the bad times, and
~encourage you as you build your life in recovery?

Please tell us about them!
In recognition of National Recovery Month-2026, "The Community Recovery Wall of Fame" recognizes and pays tribute to individuals whose valuable support contributed to the recovery success of at least one of our community members. These seemingly 'everyday' Recovery Super-Heros" that walk amongst us are living, breathing examples of the caring, strength and dedication that makes recovery possible for those of us who live with substance use and/or co-occuring mental health disorders. They are our "Fourth Pillar of Recovery" ~and without them many of us would not be where we are today.
By sharing your story and nominating your "Recovery SuperHero" you are not only publically acknowledging the important role that they have had in your recovery, you are also providing HOPE to those who are still struggling, and providing inspiration to the friends/family who love them.

"Hope, the belief that these challenges and conditions can be overcome, is the foundation of recovery. "
5 really great reasons to nominate your hero:
Your Super-Hero will receive a little thank you gift bag, be inducted into the Recovery Wall of Fame, AND will be presented this prestigious (& framed) AWARD at the Recovery Super-Heroes Awards event to be held on October 1st, 2026.
You will have the satisfaction of recognizing your Super-Hero for all they have done for your recovery PLUS receive your own little gift
just for being a good person and nominating them!
